Generositees: Making Money the Root of All GoodIn addition to being The Alarm: Spotlight Charities blog, this page is now also the Generositees blog. We are in the process of starting a new business. Generositees is a t-shirt company that will donate a portion of the net proceeds from the sale of every shirt to charity. You, our customer, will help us decide who to give to by answering our poll found on the right hand side of the page and at the end of your purchase.
In addition to your input, we will, from time to time, have items for sale whose charitable donations will be earmarked for certain causes. Currently, money raised from items purchased in our Military section will be donated to Armed Forces charities. We have a number of World War Recruiting posters gear that is really cool. Check back later for updates on which charities we have selected.
We would like your help. In addition to participating in our poll, we need ideas for new shirt designs. Please send comments and ideas to our co-founder, Greg Colvin, at glamdring73@yahoo.com.
Please be patient with us. This is a new project, done in our spare time and with our own money and, hopefully, your generosity. Our selection is limited but we are adding to it all the time, so please check back. Our first goal is to raise a $5,000 for charity, which means $5,000 for us to build our own infrastructure and increase the profit margin on our items, so we can increase the amount of money we can donate. In time, and with your help, we hope someday to surpass $1,000,000 in charitable giving. Help us help others and get some cool stuff for yourself at the same time. It's a win-win.
